You can control how FIKA and its third-party partners use non-essential Tracking Technologies on our Online Properties as follows:
A. Website Tracking Technologies
Depending on your location, you may be presented with a “cookie banner” when you visit our websites that disclose our use of Tracking Technologies, and enable you to accept or reject non-essential Tracking Technologies. Please note that declining non-essential Tracking Technologies may limit the availability and functionality of our Services.
B. Browser settings
Your browser may allow you to decline cookies. To do so, please follow the instructions provided by your browser (which are usually located within the "Help" or "Preferences" menu).
C. Third-party opt-out links
Some third-party Tracking Technology providers enable you to reject their Tracking Technologies using an opt-out link. Where available, we have provided such opt-out links in the table above.
D. Operating system choices
You may choose how we use Tracking Technologies on your mobile device using the choices offered by your device’s operating system.
For iOS users: FIKA provides an ‘App Privacy’ statement located within the iOS App Store that describes how FIKA may, with your permission, track your activities on other companies’ apps, websites or offline properties for purposes oftargeted ads or measurement. If you grant FIKA permission to “Allow Tracking,” via iOS, FIKA will be permitted to track your activities as described in the App Privacy Statement. To modify this setting for your iOS device, visit the Settings/Privacy/Tracking and use the toggles associated with FIKA’s apps.
For Android users: FIKA provides a ‘Data Safety’ statement located within the Google Play Store that includes data shared, data collected and safety practices. You can control whether or how third parties can track your activities by modifying or deleting your Android device’s ad identifier, specifically by visiting your device settings/Privacy/Ads and choosing to either ‘Reset advertising ID’ or ‘Delete advertising ID’.
E. FIKA settings for data sharing and collection for ads
You can choose whether FIKA may use your personal data, including data regarding your interactions with third party apps and websites, for purposes of personalized ads or marketing by visiting the Privacy Settings in your FIKA account.
If you are located in the South Africa, you can also opt-out from the “sale,” or “sharing” of your personal data for purposes of personalized ad via your Privacy Settings or by communicating your opt-out preferences via your web browser using Global Privacy Control (GPC).
If you have any questions about our use of Tracking Technologies, please review the FAQ’s in the “Data & Privacy” section of our website, where you may also submit your questions.
Updates to this Notice
We may occasionally update this notice. We recommend that you check this page from time to time for updated information regarding our use of Tracking Technologies.
COOKIE NOTICE (GLOBAL)
FIKA and its third-party partners use “cookies” and other tracking technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”), including third-party Tracking Technologies, on FIKA’s websites, apps, email communications, ads, and other online services (collectively, “Online Properties”). These are used to enable, enhance, personalize and analyze use of FIKA’s services (“Services”) and Online Properties, and for purposes of personalized ads.
This Notice describes the Tracking Technologies that we and our partners use, how we use them, and your choices regarding such Tracking Technologies. For more information regarding FIKA’s collections and uses of personal data, please see our User Privacy Notice.
The Tracking Technologies we use
We use the following Tracking Technologies for the purposes described in this Notice:
Cookies are small text files that are placed and stored on your browser when you visit a website, or on your device when you use an app. They may be created and placed by either the website or app you are visiting (in which case they are referred to as “first party” cookies), or by websites or apps other than the one you are visiting (in which case they are referred to as “third party cookies”). We use both “session cookies,” which expire when you close your browser, and “persistent cookies,” which expire after a set period of time (even if you close your browser).
Pixel tags (also called beacons) are small blocks of code placed on webpages, apps, emails or ads that enable us to identify users when providing our Services and track interactions with our Online Properties.
Software Development Kits (also called SDKs) are blocks of code that are functionally similar to cookies and pixel tags, except for mobile apps. SDKs allow their developers to collect information about the device and network you use to access our apps, and about your interaction with our apps.
Local storage refers to files that are created by apps or websites, and stored on your device or browser. Such files function similarly to cookies.
How we use Tracking Technologies.
The following table describes the categories of Tracking Technologies (including cookies, pixel tags, SDKs, and local storage files) that are placed on the Online Properties, the purposes for which they are used, and whether placed by FIKA or third parties.
The list of parties that serve these Tracking Technologies is subject to change, and may not be exhaustive. In addition, the Tracking Technologies used, and the parties that serve them, may vary depending on jurisdiction, and across the Online Properties.
The data collected by third parties through the Tracking Technologies they place on the Online Properties is subject to the third parties’ privacy notices. For more information regarding their practices, please follow the links in the table below.
